A "Statement of Intentionality”

Our why

Where We Are Going

A Great Brand Doing Great Things

A Statement of What Now?!

Yeah, we get it. You've probably never seen something like this before…but, simply, this “statement” is “voluntary transparency” into our business: why we exist, what we intend to do with the business and its growth (should there be any).

The Idea

What if we, as consumers, had an honest understanding of who we were choosing to do business with?

While there will always be some discretion (and a bit of “marketing storytelling”), there are some core, driving principles that each business should be sharing (and sharing because we want to…outside of “as required by law/regulation/legislation").

The Core Commitments

  1. Where We Are Going…

  2. When We Do “This” Well…

  3. Where The Money Goes…

We believe in the ability of Brands to powerfully and meaningfully connect people; to one another and to “purpose".

Brands, of all types/sizes, can do really great things for their customers and communities.

We want to grow up to be a great Brand that intentionally and purposefully invests in doing great things.

When We Do This Well

Lots of Love

When Dusted & Salty is at its best and doing well:

  • Our people love their careers (even when there are days when they don’t).

  • Our customers love our products (and productively, proactively tell us when they don't).

  • Our company loves and respects our environment.

Where The Money Goes

We See Money as Investments

One of our founding motivations was demonstrating that “business can be done differently.” What we do with our “money” has to authentically represent that belief.

For us, we are focused on “making enough money so we can”:

  • Generously recognize the efforts, energies and investments of our People and Partners.

  • Fund and support the movements and communities our Company (its people) believes in.

  • Invest in cool shit that keeps Dusted & Salty “off balance”.

  • Run Dusted & Salty the way we want…with the confidence to say “No (thanks)”.
