What “Being Salty” Means For Our Business
Beyond the “cute play on words”, there is a subtle, general restlessness behind what we do and why we are doing it.
Basically, our experiences - in global corporate careers and as customers - have shown us that there are a lot of ways to “do business”...and most of them are simply wrong. Sure the “values” look great on the wall/website/swag but, oftentimes, do not mean anything…however well-intended.
This business is a challenge to ourselves…to be more than just quiet critics.
We exist to sell something we believe in, that we actually use, that adds value to our Customers’ experiences (however small) and, simultaneously, challenges the way businesses are run, market and sell.
So there is no judgement, no criticism of anyone else…but there is a “salty determination” to prove out a different model.
We'll see how it all turns out.
