Dusted & Salty Avocado Sunrise 〰️

Introduction

Introducing the Dusted & Salty Avocado Smash: a satisfying and flavorful breakfast or brunch option. This dish features creamy avocado, a perfectly fried egg, crispy air-fried halloumi, and a sprinkle of our signature Himalayan salt for a touch of 'dusted' magic.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 ripe avocado

  • 1 tablespoon lime or lemon juice

  • 1 large pepper

  • Dusted & Salty powdered Himalayan salt

  • 1 large egg

  • 1 teaspoon olive oil or butter

  • Cracked Pepper

  • 2 slices of ham or prosciutto

  • 2 tablespoons chopped roasted red peppers or sun-dried tomatoes

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley

  • Halloumi

Process

  1. In a small bowl, mash the avocado with lime/lemon juice, Dusted & Salty powdered Himalayan salt, pepper, and optional red pepper flakes. Set aside]

  2. Preheat your air fryer to 200°C (400°F).

  3. Lightly brush the halloumi slices with olive oil or cooking spray.

  4. Air-fry Halloumi for 5-7 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden brown and softened. Set aside.

  5. Wash and dry the red peppers.

  6. Drizzle the pepper halves with olive oil.

  7. Place the pepper halves skin-side down in the air fryer basket.

  8. Air fry for 15-20 minutes, or until the skins are blistered and blackened, and the peppers are tender.

  9. Once the peppers are cool enough to handle, peel off the skins. They should come off easily.

  10. Roughly chop the roasted peppers into small pieces

  11. Fry the egg in olive oil/butter to your liking, season with salt and pepper.

Assemble the Stack:

Layer avocado mash, ham, fried egg, and roasted red peppers on a plate. Garnish with parsley/cilantro. Arrange the air-fried halloumi on the side.
